Terry Gilliam has admitted his wife thinks the Monty Python reunion will be a "shambles".
The 73-year-old star will reform the famous comedy troupe with his old collaborators - John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Eric Idle - for a one-of show, and he has revealed his partner Maggie isn't convinced.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, Terry said: "She thinks the reunion is a bad idea.
"She said, 'What the hell do you think you're doing, you old farts? It's going to be an embarrassing shambles.' "
The veteran actor and screenwriter also explained while he may have had his own reservations about the reunion, he went against his gut feeling and decided to go with "the majority".
He added: "A reunion has been mooted in the past and my initial reaction was to leave it because it's always difficult to go back.
"But if the majority want to do something, then we back it."
Part of Terry's initial concern was because he feels he is past his physical peak, admitting his body feels "very old".
He said: "I don't do any real exercise. All the others run and swim. But I don't.
"My body has held itself together reasonably well. But of late my body has suddenly been feeling very old."
