Hailee Steinfeld would love to record a duet with her best friend Taylor Swift.

The 23-year-old 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer has been trying to teach the 16-year-old Oscar-nominee to play the guitar, and the 'True Grit' star admits she would love to accompany Taylor on a song in the future.

The actress told EOnline.com: "I would love that. I don't know if I could hold myself up next to her. She's so incredibly talented. She sort of attempted to teach me and it just doesn't work very well."

Hailee joked that it's "not bad" having the six-time Grammy Award winner as a teacher and credits her for helping her to show off her talent in her upcoming movie 'Can a Song Save Your Life?"

She said: "No, you don't get to hear me sing. I do play a little bit of guitar in the movie, so that was exciting."

Taylor and Hailee have been firm friends for some time and the actress supported the singer following her split from Harry Styles earlier this year.

The country music star, who won the top prize for Celebrity Fragrance of the Year on Wednesday night (12.06.13) at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City, fled Cannes in the south of France after narrowly avoiding her ex-boyfriend at the NRJ awards in January just weeks after they split and flew to Paris to hang out with Hailee.

The duo was spotted enjoying the French capital's best-known sights, including the Eiffel Tour together.
