Tara Reid claims Jenny McCarthy ignited a feud between them to boost ratings.

The 'Sharknado' star insists she's "never even had beef" with the 43-year-old star.

Speaking to Ross Matthews on Hollywood Today Live, she said: "Something like that is so silly. We're here to talk about Sharknado and to go into stuff that has nothing to do with something else and keep going and going and going. And they're saying like, 'Come on guys, let's be happy and talk about Sharknado and it didn't end that way. I was like, 'Good for you, Jenny. At least now people know you have a show.'

"We never even had beef, so I don't know where that came from. I think she actually purposefully did that to get ratings ... Why else would you do that? It didn't make any sense."

The feud began when Tara made an appearance on Jenny's radio show where the 'Scary Movie 3' star quizzed the 40-year-old actress about her appearance on reality show 'Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars'.

Tara politely declined to talk about it, saying: "Babe, I asked you, please let's not talk about this show. We're all here about 'Sharknado.'

And when asked about plastic surgery, Tara tried to end the conversation, adding: "It was really nice talking to you and really good luck with your show."

But the comments weren't not taken well and Jenny soon hit back.

She told Tara: "Good luck to you, too, and I'm so excited about 'Sharknado' and I hope you stay married. I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are."
