Tamar Braxton has been rushed to hospital.
The 40-year-old singer was forced to seek assistance at a medical centre in Los Angeles on Wednesday (11.10.17) night after she suffered an adverse reaction to an anti-flu drug that she had taken to suppress her symptoms for her promotional duties.
Taking to her Instagram account yesterday (12.10.17), the blonde beauty uploaded a photograph of her medical identity tag on her wrist as she laid in the hospital bed.
She accompanied it with: "teamoverit #notagain #thisbluebirdisNOThappy (sic)."
Tamar - who is the younger sister of soul singer Toni Braxton - fell unwell while promoting her new album 'Bluebird Of Happiness' in New York earlier this week.
She was then advised to seek help from an ear, nose and throat specialist, who prescribed her the steroid Prednisone to help her throat, according to TMZ.
But the television presenter - who returned to Los Angeles after seeing the doctor -
started to experience severe swelling and was rushed into hospital in California.
Tamar's bout of ill-health has led to her cancelling a series of live performances and it's believed she won't return to the stage until her gig in Virginia on November 22.
The 'Love and War' hitmaker has decided to focus more on her music since she stepped down from her co-host position on 'The Real' chat show last year.
A statement released jointly by the show's network and Tamar herself said at the time: "The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season.
"She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar's efforts and the contributions she has made to the show's success, and we wish her all the best for the future."
