Susan Sarandon thinks her granddaughter's birth will be "theatrical" as daughter Eva Amurri Martino is planning to deliver her baby at home.
Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri Martino and her husband Kyle are expecting their first child together, a baby girl, and are planning for her to be born at home.
Susan said: "Eva's going to deliver at home, so it'll be a very theatrical event."
The 67-year-old star - who also has sons Jack, 24, and Miles, 21, with ex-partner Tim Robbins, as well as Eva, whose father is filmmaker Franco Amurri - also recalled her own pregnancies, and admitted they felt "surreal.
Speaking to America's Closer magazine, she said: "It's such a sci-fi happening. When you're pregnant, it seems surreal until the baby's there."
The 'Lovely Bones' star recently admitted she doesn't want her granddaughter to call her grandma, and will encourage her to call her 'Honey' instead.
She said: "I borrowed this name from a very dear friend of mine who's from the South, and his grandma was 'Honey'.
"That's what I'm experimenting with and Eva likes it, so we'll see.
"I think it's good because this is Kyle's parents seventh grandchild, so they've established what his parents are called."
