Steve Carell thinks he'll gain his wife's "love" if he wins a Golden Globe.
The 'Foxcatcher' star is nominated for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) for his portrayal of Mark Baum in 'The Big Short' and has joked he might finally get his wife's "approval" if he wins.
Speaking in a joint interview, he quipped: "[If I win, I] might finally gain my wife's love and approval."
Whilst Nancy joked back: "Well you already won one, so that was good for 10 years. But it's worn off."
And the 53-year-old actor has teamed up with his wife of 11 years on comedy show 'Angie Tribeca' and admits she makes him laugh more than anybody else does.
He added to Entertainment Tonight: "She makes me laugh more than anybody. We didn't start thinking we're going to write a show. We just came up with this name that was really dumb and it just kept making us laugh ... and the more we talked about it, the more it made us laugh!"
Meanwhile, Steve was handed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday (07.01.16) and thanked his fans for coming to see him in the pouring rain.
He said: "It's really above and beyond. Everyone who is standing there looking like miserable wet cats, this means an awful lot to me."
