The 28-year-old singer stopped her rendition of George Michael's 'Fastlove' at Sunday (12.02.17) night's ceremony because she was unhappy she wasn't doing her idol justice, and the 'Wind Beneath My Wings' hitmaker believes she did the right thing.

Bette tweeted: "Adele taught us a all a great lesson just now. If it's not right? START OVER AND NAIL IT! And she did. Love you, girl."

Chrissy Teigen - who was in the audience at Los Angeles' Staples Center with her husband John Legend - had "major respect" for Adele's decision to restart her "incredible" performance.

She tweeted: "Major major @Adele respects. S**t happens when you actually sing live. She was incredible.(sic)"

And Charlie Puth also thought the British singer - who picked up five awards at the ceremony and had opened the show with a performance of 'Hello' - did the right thing in starting again.

He wrote: "I commend @Adele for starting over and making it right! Very very good.(sic)"

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres admitted she thinks people like Adele so much, they will always make allowances for her.

She posted: "@Adele, you get every do over you ever need. Ever. #GRAMMYs (sic)"

Producer Skrillex felt Adele's decision only made the performance "even more special" and thinks George - who was found dead from heart failure at his home on Christmas Day (25.12.17) - would have been very proud of her.

He tweeted: "Your realness made that moment even more special. That took so much guts, George would have been so proud. @Adele (sic)"

After starting her song, Adele - whose 2016 Grammys performance of 'All I Ask' was plagued with technical difficulties -suddenly stopped and said: "I know it's live TV. I f**ked up. I can't do it again like last year. I'm sorry for swearing. Can we please start it again? I'm sorry, I can't mess this up for him."

After the performance, the 'Hello' singer - who donned a black crystal earring reminiscent of one which George used to wear - appeared on the verge of tears, despite the applause she received from the audience.
