Sophia Bush is said to be dating again after her split from Grant Hughes
The former 'One Tree Hill' actress – who split from husband Grant Hughes in August after 13 months of marriage – has been linked to the retired United States soccer star and World Cup winner and the pair have been spending some time together over the last "couple of weeks".
A source told People magazine: "After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago.
“This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters.”
The pair were recently seen together in photos shared online by Canadian soccer star Selenia Iacchelli.
An insider added to Page Six: "It’s very new. They are definitely a couple.”
It comes after Ashlyn recently filed for divoce from her wife Ali Krieger - with whom she has two children - after four years of marriage.
The source added to People: "Although it’s new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali’s divorce began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer."
It's said "there is no salacious story" with Sophie and Ashlyn's new romance, but the insider said "the public may want there to be".
Sophie and Grant decided to go their separate ways just seven weeks after celebrating their first anniversary, though they are still on good terms.
At the time, a source told People: "Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.
"They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”
In June, Sophia described marrying Grant - who proposed less than a year before they tied the knot - to be the "best decision" of her life.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the 41-year-old star shared a black and white photo from their wedding and wrote: "Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband'.
“Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary (white heart emoji.)"
