Jessica Simpson wants to star in her own sitcom.

The singer-and-actress - who has daughter Maxwell, three, and two-year-old son Ace with husband Eric Johnson - is reportedly keen to appear in a comedy about a "harried married mom who runs a successful business", loosely based on her life.
An insider said: "Jess really wants to get back into acting. She's been taking lessons for more than a year, and though she's been meeting with producers, no offers have come in.
"So she's taking matters into her own hands."
Jessica - who played Daisy Duke in the 2005 film remake of US TV series 'The Dukes of Hazzard' - is said to be planning to bankroll the sitcom herself and could even get her former NFL husband on board as a producer.
The insider added to the National Enquirer: "She'll put him to work.
"Jess wants to capitalise on her dumb blonde image rather than play against it."
As well as 'Dukes of Hazzard', the stunner has also starred as Amy in 2006 movie 'Employee of the Month' and Katie in 'Blonde Ambition'.
