Sinitta insists her and Simon Cowell are closer than ever, despite her recent revelation she aborted their baby in the 1980s.
The singer made her confession in the wake of the news Simon, 53, and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman are expecting a child together in response to a report that came out about the termination which was false.
Sinitta insists the music mogul never had a problem with her and understood why she felt the need to speak out.
During an appearance on TV show 'Lorraine', she said: "Simon and I were always OK. In fact like a lot of adversity sometimes it brings you closer"
Before she set the record straight, Sinitta posted a series of emotional outbursts about the abortion on her Twitter account, something she admits she did in anger.
She explained: "I'm still sane. I got very angry and I'm normally the sort of person that lets things wash over me. It was a very sensitive topic and also I felt that it was being reported in the wrong way. And it was being used to look like I was trying to attack Simon with it, who is my best friend.
"I thought, 'I can't just think it's fish and chip paper tomorrow.' "
