Sinead O'Connor loves her "boring" lifestyle.
The 54-year-old singer underwent a hysterectomy in 2015 and since then, she's decided to embrace a more sedate way of life.
She shared: "I'll be 55 this year. I really fought a good battle there. I'm tired. A wise warrior knows when to retreat. And I've got to the age and time in life where you just want to sit and be peaceful in your garden and knit.
"My doctor is always saying to me, 'Boring is good'. So that's why my life is actually really boring but I love it. It's completely predictable. Completely boring, same thing every day.
"You know, I just have my coffee, my fags, I watch my shows, I sit in the garden, tidy up the house, pay my bills, talk to my mates, do a bit of work. You know? It's nice. It's peaceful."
The 'Nothing Compares 2 U' hitmaker also admitted to having mixed feelings about the prospect of retirement.
Sinead is torn between not wanting to disappoint her fans and wanting what's best for herself and her own happiness.
She told the BBC: "Part of me really wants to retire and the other half, if I'm honest, just doesn't want to let people down. But you know, that's why Amy Winehouse is dead."
Meanwhile, Sinead has alleged she endured a violent confrontation with Prince during a visit to his "macabre Hollywood mansion".
The singer scored the biggest hit of her career in 1990 with her cover of the late pop icon's song 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and she claimed she was summoned to his home for a meeting with the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker in 1991.
In her new memoir 'Rememberings', she claims Prince "chastised her for swearing in interviews, harangued his butler to serve her soup though she repeatedly refused it, and sweetly suggested a pillow fight, only to thump her with something hard he’d slipped into his pillowcase".
