Simon Cowell wants to "have a conversation" with the burglars who broke into his home.
The 56-year-old music mogul was sleeping upstairs in the £35 million property with his partner Lauren Silverman and their 21-month-old son Eric when robbers raided their house on December 4 and now the 'X Factor' judge wants a face-to-face meeting with those responsible.
He explained: "One hundred per cent I'd like to meet the guy. If we found him I'd want to have a conversation with him. I don't want to say too much right now because I am angry. As a dad you have to realise the psychological damage it does having someone you don't know in your home 3ft away from your little boy.
"What would have happened if he had woken up? I don't want to feel too much like a victim here because this happens to thousands of people every, bloody day.
"I have three dogs and they didn't make a sound. They're usually always barking but they chose not to at that time. Now I have dogs that bark."
And fellow 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has revealed she has ramped up security since finding out about the break in.
She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I had a serious security system before but I've laser beams now so they have no need coming to mine. I had them installed after hearing what happened to Simon. It really is serious. I'm not talking any chances.
"Even when I am not in the house I have people in there sometimes. I also have chihuahuas who bark a lot. They sound a lot bigger than they are."
