Sinitta doesn't think her abortion revelation has damaged her friendship with Simon Cowell.
The 'So Macho' singer has publicly admitted she terminated her and the music mogul's baby in the 1980s after previous reports claimed she'd done it behind his back in 2009, but the brunette beauty is adamant her confession hasn't affected the bond they share.
Speaking on British TV show 'This Morning', she said: "I don't think it's done anything [to my relationship with Simon]. It's just been embarrassing, it's been exhausting because I've got caught up and you are trying to defend yourself but it hasn't really affected Simon and I at all. It's just affected me."
The 53-year-old star is now expecting his first child with New York socialite Lauren Silverman, and Sinitta - who adopted Magdalena, eight, and Zac, seven, with her ex-husband Andy Willner - insists the trio get on well.
Sinitta also rubbished claims Lauren has warned her to stay away from Simon and find her "own man".
The star explained: "It's been unkind that Lauren's telling me to get a man. I have a man and Lauren's met my man and even likes my man. He's even been on holiday as well. So if she was going to say that to me, why would she need to go via a newspaper, why didn't she pick up the phone or send me a text or something."
Sinitta admits the recent allegations and stories have hurt her and she hopes by being honest about the abortion the rumours will end.
She said: "And I'm not paid an allowance by Simon ... he doesn't pay my lifestyle, people think I'm on some crazy payroll and I have to behave a certain way ... all this stuff does get to you ... It's just upset me ... I thought if people knew the truth they would stop attacking me."
