Simon Cowell would quit the music business if he "lost" his ability to spot a talented artist.

The 57-year-old businessman has admitted he would stop his career at the helm of the entertainment industry "really quickly" if he struggled to find a musician or realise a hit record when he heard one.
Speaking about his career, which has been reported on Digital Spy Online, he said: "Number one, you have to stay happy.
"Number two, relevant. If you achieve those two things and success then you're in a good place because this business is tough.
"If I ever lost my taste, or the ability to spot an artist or a hit record, then I would stop really quickly, I wouldn't try and hang on."
And the music mogul has admitted if he was to retire from the industry he would get a "real kick" out of finding his replacement.
The 'The X Factor' judge - who has three-year-old son Eric with his partner Lauren Silverman - said: "Once you cross that middle line, if you're still successful, you can use your experience to hopefully find the next person who is going to do my job. That is as fulfilling as finding an artist. You know, someone who starts off as an intern and ten years later is running your record label - that's as valuable as finding an artist. I'd get a real kick out of that."
