Simon Cowell is worried his baby will be born on February 13.
The 54-year-old music mogul is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman next month, but he fears the tiny tot will arrive on the 13th day, which is superstitiously known as unlucky.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: "I have some quirky habits. Everything about me is about numbers so for some reason I am always counting numbers in the head. Even if I walk up the stairs I am counting how many steps and if it is 13 I make sure it is not going to be 13.
"So the last number cannot be 13. It can't be 67 either because 6 and 7 adds up to 13.
"So I will walk an extra step. It is a kind of sign of madness actually."
Meanwhile, 'The X Factor' boss has been going to great lengths to prepare for fatherhood by turning his bachelor pad into a baby-friendly zone and getting his smoking addiction under control.
Simon has also come up with a cunning plan to ensure his son speaks with an English accent like him, and not with an American dialect like Lauren, by playing him recordings of his voice while his child sleeps.
