Shia LaBeouf has apologised for plagiarising a comic book for his new short film 'Howard Cantour.com' with a skywritten message flown over Los Angeles on New Year's Day

A message which read, "I am sorry Daniel Clowes" was seen being flown over Los Angeles on New Year's Day (01.01.14).
He posted am image of the skywriting on Twitter with the accompanying message: "CLOUD:
- vapor floating in the atmosphere
- remote servers used to SHARE DATA
- to make LESS CLEAR or TRANSPARENT (sic)"
On New Year's Eve (31.12.13) he posted a string of messages addressing the criticism he has received since being accused of plagiarism.
He wrote: "You have my apologies for offending you for thinking I was being serious instead of accurately realizing I was mocking you.
"I am sorry for all the plagiarized tweets, they all were unintelligent, ambiguous and needlessly hurtful.
"2014 Resolution - I need to work on being a less controversial tweeter.
"Mr. Clowes, I can only ask that you view my apology as a stepping stone toward repairing this misunderstanding between us. I'm sorry. (sic)"
