The 'Coronation Street' actor was delighted to keep moggy Princess Nunu when he and fiancee Faye McKeever split up last year and says the animal is devoted to him.
He said: "Don't laugh but my cat's called Princess Nunu. She's a British shorthair.
"My ex-partner, Faye, loved cats so we got one together. I got to keep one and we're now inseparable. She's a proper daddy's girl."
The 30-year-old hunk - who plays Aidan Connor in 'Corrie' - isn't sure whether he's a hit with women or not, but knows what he's looking for in his next partner.
He told Woman magazine: "People say that, like me, Aidan has a way with the ladies, but I haven't a clue if I have or not.
"I'm single, and more than anything, I'm looking for someone with a great personality, someone who is comfortable in their own skin and with no airs and graces. Who is my ideal woman? Well, she's married but I think Emma Willis has beautiful eyes."
