EastEnders' Shaun Williamson almost crashed his car while carrying then-pregnant Michelle Collins as a passenger.
The 50-year-old actor has revealed he and the blonde bombshell were shooting scenes for the long-running soap, in which they played Barry Evans and Cindy Beale respectively, 18 years ago when he almost caused an accident by refusing to wear his glasses while driving around London's Waterloo.
Speaking on 'Lorraine' on Thursday (21.07.16), he said with a giggle: "It's a lot funnier than it sounds! Michelle has forgiven me now after 18 years. She mentions it in her book."
Shaun portrayed hapless Barry for 10 years until 2004 but, despite his alter-ego being killed off 12 years ago, he has admitted fans of the show still refer to him as the character.
He joked: "I'm going to have Barry on my gravestone because people are always calling me Barry. I've had to change my passport and everything."
Meanwhile, Shaun hopes, if there is any way of resurrecting the gullible buffoon he played for over a decade, he'll return to Walford one day as a hardman.
He said previously: "I just think it's pushing it if they try to make out Barry has been hiding in Tottenham for the last 12 years. He was weak.
"Barry started off as quite an edgy character; he gave Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) the number of the hitman who shot Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), he got hold of Cindy's kids and tried to help get her out of the country and he set fire to the car lot [so I would like him to come back a bad boy]."
