Shaun Ryder thinks people are "f***ing idiots" if they don't believe in aliens as lots of "credible" witnesses claims to have seen life from other planets.
The Happy Mondays frontman claims to have spotted extra-terrestrials a number of times since he was 15 years old and while he admits some people who share his beliefs are "bonkers", he insist there have been many other credible sightings.
Shaun - who fronts new show 'Shaun Ryder on UFOs' - said: "I couldn't be more of a believer than I am. I know what I saw and I wasn't off me head, it was before all that. Anyone who says there's nothing out there, they're the f***ing idiots.
"You meat a lot of different types in this UFO game. Some of them are bonkers or fantasists, sure, but we also talked to physicists, police, military generals... proper, credible people.
"People who insist there's only us in the universe, they're the k**bheads."
Shaun was stunned to hear the account of someone who claimed to have been abducted by aliens, as that was something he had previously been sceptical about.
He added to Q magazine: "I'm not a big believer in alien abduction but I met a guy called Travis Walton and that was mind-blowing. He told me he saw a craft, went up, touched it, and the energy coming off it threw him 20 foot in the air. Then he was taken inside, given medical aid and it saved his life.
"He was missing for five days and looked like he'd just walked out of the Vietnam War with post-traumatic stress. For me, Travis is the real deal."
