Sharleen Spiteri has joked her 11-year-old daughter Misty "doesn't give a s**t" whether she is at home or on the road with Texas.
The Texas frontwoman admits her 11-year-old daughter Misty enjoys the freedom when her mother is away on tour with the 'Inner Smile' group, but 46-year-old Sharleen misses the youngster when she is away and speaks to her five times a day.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "She doesn't give a s**t whether I'm there or not. It's only me that misses her. [On the phone], it's like 'Yeah mum, I've got to go. I'm going to make Halloween decorations. Goodbye.' "
While Sharleen admits it can be hard being away from her family while on tour, she feels fortunate to have the opportunity to hit the road with the group.
She added: "Not many people get to experience what we do, and you've got to remember most of our families don't know any different. It's what we've always done.
"They're like, 'Yeah they're back, they'll be back and then we'll be stuck with them for a couple of years and can't get rid of them.' "
Sharleen is currently on Texas' UK tour, which hit London last night (14.11.13) when they group wowed the crowd with a stunning set at the Hammersmith Apollo.
The band will play in Plymouth, south west England, tonight (15.11.13).
