A 'Sex and the City' reboot is reportedly in the works.
The comedy drama - which ran from 1998 to 2004 and sparked two spin-off films - is said to be returning to TV, with a limited series on HBO Max, and according to the New York Post Newspaper's Page Six column, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all keen to reprise their iconic roles, but Kim Cattrall is not interested in returning.
The news comes after Sarah Jessica - who was also a producer on the original HBO series - admitted she would be keen to do "some episodes of 'Sex and the City'".
However, she added: "I wouldn’t call it a reboot, I would call it a ‘revisit.'
“I’d like to see where all of them are. I’m curious, the world has changed even since the movie… technology and social media.”
And the 55-year-old star was also interested to see how "sexual politics and the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up" had impacted on the characters.
She added of her alter ego: "I think Carrie Bradshaw would just be so greedy to share her feelings and thoughts.”
It may not come as a surprise to fans that Kim doesn't want to return because she has been locked in a feud with Sarah Jessica for some time, and said in 2017 she has “never been friends” with her, before later insisting she “could have been nicer” on the set of the popular TV show.
The 64-year-old star also insisted she wouldn’t take back anything she said over the past few years.
She said: “Everything is on Google. So, I encourage you to Google it about anything that I’ve said. I feel that that was then, and when I look at what’s going on around me, I just don’t have any regrets.”
Kim first publicly spoke of her feud with Sarah Jessica three years ago, when she insisted she wasn’t “friends” with any of her ‘Sex and the City’ co-stars, including Kristin and Cynthia .
She said at the time: “We’ve never been friends. We’ve been colleagues and, in some ways, it’s a very healthy place to be.”
The ‘Filthy Rich’ star then said she didn’t know what Sarah Jessica’s “problem” was, before later slamming her as “toxic” and “cruel”.
Kim also blasted Sarah Jessica for reaching out to her following the death of her brother Chris Cattrall, who died in February 2018.
She wrote on Instagram: "My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?' Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona. (sic)"
But she thanked Cynthia for being there for her following Chris' tragic passing.
She also wrote: "Cynthia, hearing your voice meant so much to me. Thank you for reaching out. Love Kim."
