Seth Rogen will be the "Roast Master" for James Franco's comedy roast.
The '27 Hours' actor will be the subject of a Comedy Central tribute to be filmed this month and his close friend and frequent collaborator Seth will preside over the occasion.
A tweet from Comedy Central read: "We're pleased to announce @Sethrogen as Roast Master for the #FrancoRoast, airing Labor Day! (sic)"
Kent Alterman, president of Content Development and Original Programming at Comedy Central recently joked he wished James was "more successful" to make the roast worthwhile.
He quipped: "If only James Franco was a more successful, multi-hyphenated, incessant creative risk taker in different media, he'd be the perfect person to roast. Oh well... I suppose we'll just have to make do."
A clearly delighted James added: "I've dreamed about this roast for as long as I can remember.
'Comedy Central Roast of James Franco' will be executive produced by Miles Levy and Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, the team behind Comedy Central's roasts of Charlie Sheen, William Shatner and Donald Trump.
