Selena Gomez feels like she's "coming into [her] own".
The 'Good for You' hitmaker believes she has grown up as she worked on her new album 'Revival' and learned she "can't make everyone happy".
She shared: "It's almost like a metamorphosis. I feel like I'm coming into my own. I've been through stuff and I think that it's been able to test me as a person. And I feel like I'm in charge of everything.
"It's my time to just stop and say this is my perspective on where I am. I can't make everyone happy. I need to learn to love myself first."
And the 23-year-old singer insists she runs everything by her close friends including her pal Taylor Swift.
She added to Billboard magazine: "My friends hear everything.
"It's also good to have Taylor listen to my stuff ... I am for sure that person that runs it by her peeps."
Meanwhile, Selena previously revealed Taylor has taught her to be "human".
She shared: "Taylor has such a beautiful way of bringing people together. That was good for me, because the more I started working, the more uncomfortable I was.
"I wouldn't trust people, and Taylor has a way of stripping down everything and just getting down to being human. I love that."
