Selena Gomez was "stressed out" dealing with her very public split from Justin Bieber.
The 'Come and Get It' hitmaker admits coming to terms with the end of her romance with the 'Beauty and a Beat' singer earlier this year was made even more difficult by their respective fame, and she even considered isolating herself to get away from the worldwide interest in the break-up.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, which will air this weekend in the US, she said: "I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being, like, way stressed out about it. And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just wanna sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?"
Although the couple have called it quits, Justin, 19, recently sparked speculation they are back together after posting a picture of them enjoying each other's company on his Instagram account earlier this month.
The 20-year-old beauty - who has also dated singer Nick Jonas - recently claimed she struggled to keep her high profile relationships private because of her young age and naivety.
She explained: "I had my first 'boyfriend' [Nick], which wasn't really a boyfriend, at 14, 15. You're young and you don't know how to be. You don't think, 'Now I have a boyfriend - let's keep it super-private and low key', because that's not what you're thinking about. You're thinking about, 'Oh my God, we're holding hands!' You're just thinking about stuff like that."
