Scarlett Johansson admits she hasn't had the best time when it comes to dating.
While she may be one of the most desirable women in the world, the 'Hitchcock' actress - who recently got engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac - reveals that, like most women, she has experienced lulls where she was desperate to be asked out by a guy she saw fit.
In an interview with the new issue of Total Film magazine, she explained: "I never really dated that much. I was in long-term relationships for a long period of time. It was not so much about the 'I can't get a date' moment - most of the time I had a boyfriend - but there was a point I couldn't get a date. I thought, 'I just wish somebody would ask me out on a regular date.' And then maybe if we do that, we can go out on another date."
The stunning starlet - who was previously married to hunky actor Ryan Reynolds - also revealed that she feels satisfaction in her career when smaller movies, like her new comedy 'Don Jon' with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, succeed at the box office.
Scarlett, who also has a role in the blockbuster 'Avengers' franchise, said: "I've had more small films that succeeded [than big films]. That always feels like a huge accomplishment. I think it's more effective when a small film succeeds than when a big movie fails. I don't know why, but for some reason, it's more profound. When a big movie fails, it's usually not your fault."
