The 'Lucy' star has joined forces with American Express to step behind the camera as the 'How Long Will I Love You' hitmaker performs at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on November 11.

The concert, which starts at 8pm ET, is part of American Express Unstaged series and can be streamed via www.amexunstaged.com or the smartphone app.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old star previously admitted she finds fame difficult and credits her manager for stopping her from "crumbling".

She said: "I do think that if I hadn't had my manager or my friends around me, I could have crumbled very quickly. But anyone who is famous has probably wanted to be famous. It doesn't happen accidentally.

"So when you find out that it's not as pretty as it looks, I feel like that's almost your comeuppance or your karma. It's the universe saying: 'You wanted it so badly, and here it is. Not what you thought it would be, right?'"

And Ellie - who is gearing up to release her studio album 'Delirium' - sees it as a bit of an "experiment".

She explained: "A part of me views this album as an experiment - to make a big pop album. I made a conscious decision that I wanted it to be on another level."
