Sarah Jessica Parker is fed up of being mistaken for Carrie Bradshaw.
The 50-year-old actress played the character in 'Sex and the City' in the television show from 1998 to 2004 and the two spin off movies.
But Sarah is once again stressing that she is in fact nothing like Carrie in real life.
She said: "People probably don't realise that Carrie Bradshaw was radically different from who I was, who I continue to be.
"I think that sometimes because we look alike and live in the same city and haunt the same neighborhoods, that it was sort of like I was playing in the sandbox, when in truth it took real work every day to be her, to understand her, to not judge her."
Sarah is still one of Hollywood's most sought after actresses, with her movie 'All Roads Lead to Rome' soon to hit screens.
She is also making a return to HBO, the network that broadcasted 'Sex and the City', with the television series 'Divorce'.
And once again, Sarah is taking on a character that is the polar opposite to her own personality.
She added to the Wall Street Journal magazine: "The character I'm playing is incredibly different from me in many ways - she handles complexity differently than I do, her marriage is different from my own, and she's struggling financially in a way that I don't at this point in my life."
