Sarah Harding deals with Twitter trolls by ignoring them.
Former Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding enjoys interacting with her fans on the social networking site but she would never search for her name on it because she doesn't want to see any negative comments about herself or her music.
She told femalefirst, "I don't go on Twitter and search for my name or people hashtagging me, to be honest. That's just a recipe for disaster. My fans are really lovely with me and I like to interact with them on a fairly regular basis. I'm not on Twitter as much as I'd like to be as I'm not that confident on social media but I think that's something that will come with time."
Sarah, 32, strives to keep up with new social media, but she admits she does sometimes struggle with new sites because she's not technologically minded.
The pop star is often baffled by all the different functions of her smart phone.
Speaking at the Carphone Warehouse in Oxford Street, London, she added: "Technology is far more advanced these days and I'm still trying to catch up with a lot of things. I've been getting into SoundCloud recently, I'm getting my head around that, that's my recent thing. Before that it was Instagram and before that it was Twitter. I've only been on Twitter about a year-and-a-half but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm still not as competent as all the people who are hashtagging this, that and the other. I'm not quite up to par with that yet. I'm not on it every five minutes because I have other things going on. But I'm getting there but I'm sure there are a million things on my phone that I don't know what they do.
The other day when I pressed one button that you just have to speak and it writes down what you're saying, I was thinking, 'What's that little circle going around. What's it waiting for?' "
Sarah took to the decks at the shop to host the first ever in-store silent disco to launch the brand new Sony XperiaTM Z2 smartphone and digital noise cancelling headphones.
