Sandra Bullock wouldn't "survive" Hollywood today.
The 'Gravity' star doesn't believe she has the "intestinal fortitude" to succeed if she had only just started out in the industry because she thinks there is an unwritten rule that stars must sell their personal lives as well as the movie they are promoting to achieve international acclaim.
She shared: "I would never survive in this business had I started now. I don't have the stomach for it. I think I'm a little more resilient, I only work every two years. But I don't have the intestinal fortitude for what it takes to be in this business now if I was starting out.
"I do not want to sell anything about my life that's personal. I think now people starting are asking to sell themselves as well as the movie or product. I can't do that. I would fail miserably if I started."
And Sandra, 51, was catapulted to fame when she starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in 1993's 'Demolition Man' and thinks it was a "miracle" that she did well from it.
She added to The Times newspaper: "I was a struggling actress who got thrown into a big movie part and the fact that I swam instead of sank is a miracle. It was a fortunate break for me, but it had nothing to do with social media.
"No one knew anything about me, no one cared. I was just the peon in the back with stretch pants and a bad bob. It was a sweeter, gentler time, a more private time."
