Sam Smith is "still learning" about relationships.
The 'Writing's On The Wall' hitmaker insists he hasn't quite mastered dating yet and is still navigating the "different challenges and hurdles" it presents.
He shared: "I've never had a boyfriend so I don't really know any different, which I think is very lucky actually. I'm still learning on what's right and what's normal in dates.
"I think with anyone, you have to learn how to trust people and there's different challenges and hurdles in my life now but I'm trying to remain as normal as I was before."
The 23-year-old star also admits he's not quite sure if he's ready for a relationship yet but says it will "take something" to convince him otherwise.
He added to E! News: "Is anyone ready for a relationship? Who knows. I've been single for 23 years so I don't know. It's going to take something."
Meanwhile, Sam previously revealed he is planning a hiatus from music so he can focus on his love life.
He said: "I've been playing now for three years nonstop. And it feels right for me to just go home and live my life - just be a 23-year-old. It'd be good to actually spend some time dating I think."
