Salma Hayek feels under pressure to let her daughter use social media.
The 48-year-old actress, who has seven-year-old Valentina with husband Francois-Henri Pinault, is reluctant to let the youngster create profiles on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter because she thinks it will make her grow up too quickly.
The 'Tale of Tales' star said: "It's a whole new world. I'm trying to stay away from it as long as I can, but there's pressure because all of the other girls are getting phones, and they all want what the other has in school. They don't feel like they're part of the gang if they don't have the same apps.
"She wants deadlines for everything, 'When do I get a phone?' When do I get to wear make-up? When do I...?' I'm like, jeez! I beg her to stop and just enjoy what she can do now."
Salma has her own cosmetics company Nuance Salma Hayek, and says Valentina is her number one product tester.
She said: "She loves the smell of the soaps. And there's a rose lip gloss I let her wear."
But the sultry star claims her daughter refuses to take her beauty advice.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "Her hair is so long and I can't get her to cut it!"
