Ryan Reynolds doesn't think his daughter's name is that "weird".
The 'Deadpool' actor and wife Blake Lively named 13-month-old James in honour of his late father, James C. Reynolds, and though the couple caused a stir by giving her a moniker traditionally given to males, Ryan thinks it could have been much worse.
He said: "We named her after my father
"In the spectrum of weird celebrity baby names, I feel like we're not really breaking any new ground here.
"It's not like Summer Squash Meadow Lark, or something. I also thought of all the letters being silent in her name, so it would be just be 'haaaa'."
The 39-year-old actor is a devoted father but worries about becoming a baby bore.
Speaking on UK TV show 'Good Morning Britain', he said: "She's teething at the moment. I love being a father. I don't want to be one of those celebs who talks about being a parent like they're the only person in the world who has ever done it."
When he finished shooting 'Deadpool', Ryan brought his iconic costume home, much to the horror of his 28-year-old wife.
He joked: She was a bit concerned. She thought it was a bit twisted. Happy anniversary!
"I keep it in the TV room, where it scares the dogs. I would hate to be the person to break into my house."
