Ryan Gosling was "very hard on himself" on the set of 'La La Land'.
Choreographer Mandy Moore - who worked alongside the film's leads Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling on their dance moves for the critically acclaimed movie - and revealed the pair's different attitudes to rehearsals.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "I would work with Emma in the morning because she is a morning person. She loves to work in the morning and be in early, at 8 o'clock, and Ryan loves to have his day and come later. So I would meet with him at 8 o'clock at night and [we'd] work for about two hours.
"Ryan's very hard on himself. That happens to me a lot as a choreographer. It's if you learn something immediately, the person is like, 'I'm terrible,' and then, 'What am I gonna do?'
"Emma has a sweating thing. She always laughs, she is like, 'I have a sweating thing, I am sweating and Ryan is sweating on me, it is a whole thing.'
"Rehearsals [were full of] a lot of giggles. And a lot of feeling like, 'Ugh, I cannot get this.' There was definitely that initial nervousness."
Meanwhile, Mandy previously revealed she managed to get director Damien Chazelle to dance on the set of 'La La Land'.
She said: "I wish someone had videoed him dancing."
Mandy was also under strict orders to make sure she didn't over-rehearse with Ryan and Emma as Damien wanted them to "look like real human beings" when they danced.
She shared: "Damien wanted these people to look like real human beings; having real emotions, while they were moving. There's no way that you could train someone to be Fred and Ginger in two months; or a year - or three years or four years. Fred and Ginger trained their whole lives to be who they were. [However,] references to how they [Fred and Ginger] moved as a couple are peppered throughout the film."
