The 'Orange Is the New Black' actress and the fashion designer announced this week they were ending their 20-month engagement but it has now emerged they actually agreed to separate around Thanksgiving.
Phoebe, 27, told TMZ the decision to split was mutual and that she and Ruby will continue to love and "support each other in every way."
The pair were last pictured together shortly before Thanksgiving at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney, Australia.
On Monday (14.12.15), the former couple also took to Twitter to express their regrets over the split.
Ruby wrote: "@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I'm a better person because of all we shared."
The feeling was definitely mutual, with Phoebe responding: "RubyRose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us."
According to reports, it was Ruby and Phoebe's respective busy work schedules that contributed to their decision to end their relationship.
The long distance nature of their romance is also thought to have led to their break up.
