An arrest warrant has been issued for Rose McGowan - but she has branded it "a load of horses**t".
The 44-year-old actress - who recently claimed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein raped her in 1997 - is facing arrest after police discovered traces of narcotics in belongings she left behind on a flight arriving from Los Angeles at Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20.
Rob Yingling, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department, told Deadline: "Her personal belongings that were left behind from a flight arriving on January 20 tested positive for narcotics.
"Our police have attempted to contact Ms. McGowan so that she can appear in a Loudoun County Virginia court to respond to the charge."
But the former 'Charmed' star has hit out at the warrant, suggesting someone is attempting to "silence" her.
She wrote on Twitter: "Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSES**T. (sic)"
Rob also said airport police "have been issued a bench warrant and entered it into a national law enforcement database", and admitted the charge against the actress is a felony.
Rose recently claimed she was offered $1 million by someone close to Weinstein to keep her mouth shut about the filmmaker.
She said: "I had all these people I'm paying telling me to take it so that I could fund my art.
"I figured I could probably have gotten him up to three. But I was like, 'Ew, gross, you're disgusting, I don't want your money, that would make me feel disgusting.' "
Rose wrote the word "FACT" alongside a tweet from Ashlee Marie Preston, who wrote: "If @rosemcgowan would have taken that million dollars in hush money I'm quite sure this wouldn't even be a headline... (sic)"
Earlier this month, Rose claimed Weinstein had raped her.
In tweets directed to Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon, she wrote: "I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said. He said it hadn't been proven. I said I was proof.
"I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar.
"I called my attorney & sad I wanted to get my script back, but before I could, #2 @amazonstudios called me to say my show was dead.
"@jeffbezos I am calling on you to stop funding rapists, alleged pedos and sexual harassers. I love @amazon but there is rot in Hollywood. @jeffbezos Be the change you want to see in the world. Stand with truth. #ROSEARMY #Amazon. (sic)"
More than 80 women have now accused Weinstein of sexual harassment or assault.
He has since been fired from The Weinstein Company and his wife, Georgina Chapman, has left him.
But he "unequivocally denies" any allegations of non-consensual sex.
