Adult film star Ron Jeremy has been charged with raping three women and sexually assaulting another.
The 67-year-old comedian, filmmaker, and adult film actor - whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt - was hit with the sex crime charges on Tuesday (23.06.20) by the Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey, in relation to "separate incidents" dating back to 2014.
According to a release sent by the District Attorney's office, Ron was charged "with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery."
The charges include an accusation of rape made by a 25-year-old woman, who claims she was raped at a home in West Hollywood in May 2014, as well as two separate instances involving the alleged sexual assault of women ages 33 and 46, which took place at a West Hollywood bar in 2007.
Ron is also accused of forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.
Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles, California, and prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $6.6 million.
If convicted as charged, the adult film star faces a possible maximum sentence of 90 years to life in prison.
The news comes after the District Attorney's office previously declined a case against Ron due to insufficient evidence from an incident in 2016, but agreed to pick up new case following fresh allegations that were made in May.
The new charges are not the first allegations of sexual assault Ron has faced, as he was previously accused of having groped a woman in the bathroom of West Hollywood's famed Sunset Strip hangout Rainbow Bar and Grill in 2018.
And in 2017, the actor was the subject of a Rolling Stone investigative piece, which detailed multiple other accusations, which Ron denied at the time, calling those allegations "pure lies or buyers remorse".
