It has been revealed that Rolf Harris plans on pleading not guilty for the assault of two teenage girls, and the creation of four indecent images of children.

Making his first appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court in central London yesterday (23.9.13), the 83-year-old TV presenter is accused of indecently assaulting a girl aged 15 to 16 six times in 1980 and 1981 and a girl of 14 three times in 1986.

The showbiz entertainer denies all charges, including four counts of making indecent images of a child between March and July 2012, and when asked by the court clerk to indicate an intended plea, his barrister, Sonia Woodley, QC, said: "Not guilty."

Rolf spoke in court to confirm his name and then asked, "What was the next thing?", before confirming his address as Bray, Berkshire, as well as his date of birth as March 30, 1930 during the five-minute hearing, which was interrupted by a power cut.

The formal 'Animal Clinic' host was granted bail by district judge Emma Arbuthnot until he appears before London's Southwark Crown Court on October 7.

Under the conditions of his bail he is not allowed to be in contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless supervised by an adult and he cannot contact any of the alleged victims or eight witnesses.

Rolf did not speak to reporters as he and 81-year-old wife Alwen, who was aided by a crutch, left the hearing.

The Australian artist could be jailed for up to 10 years if he is found guilty of indecent assault.
