Robin Wright has never had more satisfying sex than since she started dating Ben Foster.
The 'House of Cards' actress - who was previously married to Sean Penn and the late Dane Witherspoon - has never been as happy as she has been since meeting her fiance three years ago and says he inspires her to be the "best" person she can.
She said: "I've never been happier in my life than I am today. Perhaps it's not ladylike [to say], but I've never laughed more, read more, or come more than with Ben. He inspires me to be the best of myself. There's so much to learn. It's endless. How great!.
"It took me a long time to grow up. Love is possible as life is possible."
Robin, 49, credits her 14-year marriage to the 'Milk' actor - with who she has children Dylan, 23, and Hopper, 21, - for teaching her how to "love" the right way in her subsequent relationship.
She said: "I believe we were together not only to have our beautiful children but to learn how to love...for the next time around, the right way.
"And then, what I'm looking for in people now, is kindness."
The 'Forrest Gump' star was just 23 when she embarked on her relationship with Sean and says they learned about adulthood and raising a family as they "were going along".
She told the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine: "I grew up very fast as a young girl, but I grew slowly into my womanhood. We were learning as we were going along. We agreed as parents that we'd not work at the same time, so that one of us was always with the kids.
"He was making more money than I was at the time, so it was a simple decision: 'You go work--I'll stay with the kids'.
"And we got along great as creative people. Acting together, him directing me [in 'The Crossing Guard' in 1995]--that was great."
