Robert Pattinson is considering joining Twitter.
The 29-year-old British actor has avoided the social media platform up to now because he knows his fame from the 'Twilight' films means he will have to do deal with countless obsessed 'Twihard' fans.
But he admits he has been thinking about setting up an account in recent months, however, he has resisted so far because he thinks he would become obsessed with the micro-blogging platform.
He said: "Sometimes I think I would like to have a Twitter account. But I know I would spend too much time on it. I would lose myself in it all night long. I really hope to avoid this kind of life (spent on social media). It is the reason why I don't sign up."
Pattinson - who is engaged to singer FKA Twigs - is one of the most written about men in the world and he sometimes lets curiosity get the better of him and search for news about himself on Google, something he usually regrets.
The screen heartthrob - who was previously in a relationship with his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart - shared: "I admit I still fall into the trap, fall into Internet limbo by looking at what is said about me. At least I never felt the need to leave comments!
"I know who I am, well, almost. Everything resides in the 'almost'."
Pattinson has grown to accept the reality he is major celebrity but admits the fame game does get him down on occasions.
Discussing the impact being globally famous has had on him, he told Numero Homme magazine: "Sometimes I have times when it makes me completely mad. I wonder what people are looking for when they type my name. Certainly gossip.
"That said, my career has not suffered from it. I am not blacklisted from anywhere yet. I am working with whomever I want ... So I don't have the intention to force the audience to change their point of view. I need things to happen in an organic way. Maybe one day I'll be seen differently."
