Robbie Williams insists his home renovations will cause "no damage whatsoever" to Jimmy Page's house.
The 44-year-old pop star has been locked in a bitter feud with his Led Zeppelin rocker neighbour over his expansion plans for several years, and has dismissed suggestions his plans will damage the interior of Tower House, the 74-year-old musician's Grade I-listed, 19th century abode.
Jimmy has objected to the 'Angels' singer's proposal to build an underground swimming pool and a summerhouse because he is concerned vibrations from construction work would affect the structural integrity of his home, which he bought in the 1970s, and also claimed they contravene planning policy guidelines set by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council.
However, in response, planning experts Gerald Eve, who are working for Robbie and his 38-year-old wife Ayda Field have insisted there will be "no damage whatsoever to the finishes, fittings or structure of Tower House" and pointed out the house had withstood potential damage from World War II.
A report obtained by the Daily Mail newspaper stated: "This inherent robustness to the building has allowed the internal finishes to survive the WW2 bombing and major construction work that took place nearby following the war.
"Given the above, it is clear that in its lifetime, there have been incidents and constructions in the vicinity of Tower House that had significant ground movements and vibrations associated with them whereas the proposed basement has been engineered so that its effect on the house and its finished is negligible."
The company also dismissed suggestions they had broken planning policy and guidance.
Robbie - who has children Teddy, five, and Charlton, three, with Ayda -previously likened Jimmy's behaviour over his renovation plans to a "mental illness" after he claimed he'd sit outside their home with a recording device to record the workmen's noise.
