Robbie Williams' dad is proud of his son for live-blogging the birth of his second child and first son.
Pete says it's "great" that Robbie decided to share the birth of his and his wife Ayda Field's little one online with fans, and believes that the singer produced the videos to pass the time during the 14-hour labour.
Speaking to The Sun he explained: "I've watched it all and think its great he shared all that with his fans. I can only see people liking the videos.
"I have no idea why he did it, but when you have a baby there is a lot of time spent hanging around. Maybe he was passing the time?"
Pete added that fans of Robbie will be "really grateful" for being allowed an insight into the birth of the unnamed newborn.
"Ours is not to reason why with Rob. He does what he does, he's his own man.
"I think his fans will be really grateful."
Robbie spent some of the time in the birthing videos gushing over his "astonishing" wife: "I've never been more in love, and I've never been more proud of my wife.
"She's been absolutely astonishing."
Ending the stream of updates, Robbie posted on Twitter: "No Moms Were Harmed.
"Thank you for sharing the journey with us, we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. RW x (sic)".
Their new child joins the couple's two-year-old daughter Theodora 'Teddy' Rose, born in September 2012.
