Robbie Williams says he is a "caveman" and doesn't want his wife to go back to work.
The singer's partner Ayda Field gave birth to their first daughter Theodora Rose 14 moths ago and he admitted he has tried to stop her from returning to her acting career because he needs "supporting".
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, he joked: "Ayda wants to go back to work but I don't want her to. I'm a bit caveman about it all.
"I say, 'You won't leave the cave. I don't want you to leave the cave. I want you to stay here with me and do the supporting thing ... Not having her there does scare me a bit.
"But she's really f***ing talented and incredibly charismatic. But, selfishly, I want her to be at home with me."
Robbie had Ayda with him when he was on his recent UK tour, and it meant he found it easy to balance work and family because "mummy took care of everything".
He said;: "The purpose of the tour was not only to entertain people and get my confident back, but also to take care of us as a family, financially.
"So my responsibility to my family was to get enough sleep and perform the best that I can perform.
"Me and Teddy hung out in the dressing room during the afternoon and early evening then she went off to bed ... I didn't have to juggle anything because mummy took take of everything."
