Robbie Williams has been rehearsing in his garden shed.

The 'Candy' singer is making his band practice for his upcoming 'Take the Crown' tour in a no-frills steel structure erected in the back of his estate in Compton Bassett, Wiltshire, England.

Paul Beard, the tour's musical director, told The Daily Star newspaper: "Everybody is really good fun to be around. It is a band full of characters.

"Robbie didn't want to practice in stuffy, posh studios. The shed has a table tennis table, and Robbie and his band play games between rehearsals."

Despite the 39-year-old star living just a few yards away from the shed, he is allegedly being chauffeured to practice in his black Range Rover.

Regular visitors to the unusual rehearsal space include Robbie's wife, Ayda Field, with whom he has nine-month-old daughter Theodora 'Teddy' Rose, and his tour mascot, a giant robot called Om.

The cheeky hitmaker recently revealed he had been practicing his new material on his baby daughter, who has proved to be a tough critic.

He said: "I wrote her a song called 'Go Gentle'. I had a really lovely moment walking around the estate where we live with the baby, and I sang this very, very sincere song ... and she threw up on me.

"I don't know if that is baby for, 'That is amazing, dad', or 'I have just thrown up because you make me nauseous.' "
