Robbie Coltrane has been admitted to a medical facility in Orlando, Florida after getting off a flight on Thursday, January 29.
Reportedly suffering from severe flu-like symptoms, the actor is said to have started feeling unwell whilst on the British Airways flight.
Speaking to TMZ, a representative for the star said that paramedics met Robbie when he landed in the city and he's expected to remain in hospital overnight.
This comes just a few years after the actor was aiming to shed eight stone in 2012 so he could undergo an operation in America on his knee, hoping to fix an old rugby injury which left him in severe pain.
At the time he explained: "It's very painful. You can take painkillers but then you forget what your name is.
"The long-term plan is to have it done in America but not until I've lost another four stone."
Surgeons were due to replace the cartilage in the star's knee with teflon after it had broken up.
