The reclusive sock designer popped the question to Blac Chyna in April after four months of dating, and though the make-up artist's relatives were there when he proposed, his own loved-ones had to find out from media coverage.

In a preview clip for next weekend's 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', which was filmed during a family vacation, Kim Kardashian West said: "We wake up to all of these pictures of my brother getting engaged."

The footage then showed Khloe Kardashian - who Rob lived with until she threw him out after learning of his romance with Chyna - reading articles online about the engagement.

She told her shocked sisters: "He proposed in front of her whole family."

Speaking on camera, Kim then asked: "How does our own brother not tell us?"

After the couple - who are expecting their first child together - got engaged, Rob's family were noticeably silent on social media about the happy news.

Kim's husband, Kanye West, was the first to speak publicly about the sock designer's engagement, but wouldn't confirm what the rest of the family thought.

Asked about the proposal, Kanye simply said: "You know, Rob is my brother.

"I love Rob. I just roll with it. I love Rob, that's all I can say. I love Rob."

And asked if he's been invited to their future wedding, he quipped: "You know what? I haven't been invited."

However, when pressed to answer if the rest of the Kardashian family are happy about Rob's decision to ask the 27-year-old former exotic dancer to marry him, he replied: "I'm not going to speak on anyone else's opinions. It's all love and blessings."

But despite speculation the famous family don't approve of Rob's relationship with Chyna - who has a three-year-old son, King Cairo, with ex-boyfriend Tyga - Kim recently insisted they were very happy for the couple and can't wait until their baby is born.

She said: "Everyone is doing really great. Everyone is super excited."
