Rob Kardashian is going through a "dark period".
The 29-year-old sock designer has sparked concern from fans after deleting all his Instagram posts amid claims his and fiancee Blac Chyna's upcoming reality show is "in crisis", but an insider insists his antics are "nothing new".
However, despite reports Rob has been skipping filming because he fears 'Rob & Chyna' is "compromising their relationship", the source says that isn't the case.
The insider told 'Entertainment Tonight': "He is just going through one of his mood swings, which is common for him. But he is still filming.
"He goes through his dark periods. He gets depressed and doesn't want to really do anything, doesn't leave the house. It got better for a bit when he first started dating Chyna, but he's in a rut now. He'll snap out of it."
Rob retreated from the limelight for some time after struggling with depression and problems with his weight, but his sisters recently praised 28-year-old Chyna - who is pregnant with his first child - for helping him turn his life around.
Speaking on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', Khloe Kardashian, 32, said: "Don't we kind of think it's a miracle that Rob - who doesn't even show up to Christmas for the past three years, literally he wouldn't leave his room - but the fact that now he's created a Snapchat; the fact that he wants to be so public blows my mind."
Her older sister, Kim Kardashian West, 35, agreed and said: "She gave him confidence, more power to her. Even if there's been some drama ... If this is what it takes, then I don't care who he's dating. I'm so happy that he's just feeling better about himself."
