Rob Kardashian thinks his new niece's name "sounds cool".
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star loves the little girl's unique moniker, North West, and told his sister Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Kanye West not to care what other people think about it.
The 26-year-old sock designer told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show on Wednesday (26.06.13): "I told Kim and Kanye this: I'm like, 'Yo, people are always going to talk whether it's good or bad. There's always going to be the haters, but do what you guys feel.' Like, you know everyone's going to say, 'Oh, you're coming up with some weird celebrity, crazy name.' You know how it is.
"[But] North West, it sounds cool! [And] North is the highest point, so it has a lot of meaning to it."
His mother Kris Jenner also defended the baby's name on Tuesday (25.06.13).
She said: "I love the name North. I'm pro North, absolutely.
"The way she (Kim) explained it to me was that North means highest power, and she says that North is their highest point together and I thought that was really sweet."
Rob, who has yet to meet North since her arrival on June 15, admitted he can't wait to spoil her.
He said: "I'm actually looking for like a giant animal to get North. The baby came a month early. It's so small, she needs a big stuffed animal."
Rob also insisted he doesn't mind that Kim, 32, is currently being very strict about visitors and recently turned him away.
He explained: "When it comes to babies I like to give the person all their time with their significant other [to] let them enjoy their moment. I'm happy the baby is healthy and my sister is healthy."
