Rita Ora "couldn't breathe" before she met Madonna.
The 'Your Song' singer was so starstruck when she first met the 'Like A Virgin' and she admits the whole thing was "very awkward" and "very unbelievable".
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she said: "Meeting her was very awkward, but also very unbelievable. She really just made me find my light ... And doing that, we had to kneel on the floor. And I thought it was 'Like A Prayer' in real life that was happening to me ... I had to go and breathe in the bathroom before I actually did meet her. I mean, this was earlier in my career.
"And I was doing a campaign for her, a clothing line … then she, you know, came to meet me, and I loved it and I just couldn't breathe."
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old singer can't wait to get back out on the road and perform following the coronavirus pandemic, which has halted large live events.
Of her music career, she added: "The highlight of being a musician has always been performing. There is nothing more rewarding than touring and playing live. Working with David Guetta has been an amazing experience. He’s fantastic and so professional. He says work comes first, nothing else matters apart from your work, which he is so right about — and good work always stands out."
And Rita has been feeling "musically isolated" in lockdown.
She said: "It feels amazing and really good to be back, an actual studio and be around instruments. I can also bounce off people's energy. It got a bit weird. I'm not going to lie, musically I felt isolated which I've never experienced before."
