Rita Ora has confirmed she was asked to host the 'Today' show at the last minute, amid claims that Kelly Rowland walked out because her dressing room was too small.
Kelly, 43, was originally a guest on the show's 8am hour and was set to step in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour as co-host of 'Today with Hoda Jenna'.
However, when she pulled out of guest hosting at the last minute, Rita, 33, was asked to fill in.
Rita shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram and wrote: "Well, this happened! We had two minutes to prepare. Ahhh, thank you @hodaandjenna for asking me to co-host the show... Everyone was so lovely and kind, I had SO much fun doing it!! Love to everyone that tuned in, maybe we should do more??!!!"
Kelly reportedly walked out because she and her team were unhappy with her dressing room.
A source told PEOPLE: "Kelly walked out because she and her team didn't like her dressing room. Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was."
An insider claimed to Page Six: "Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Hoda Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 am hour.
"She’s beloved at ‘Today.’ She was getting the full hour, and Hoda’s the biggest hype woman on the planet! It made no sense."
The dressing rooms at 'Today' are said to be among the smallest in TV, practically “glorified closets".
The insider told Page Six: "They’re not nice. It’s the oldest building. There are major space limitations, [it’s] not glamorous. It’s not fresh flowers, and candles and gourmet food. It’s basically [a] white box."
