The 39-year-old actress was in awe of her 'Hot Pursuit' co-star when they first met and knew right away that she wanted her for the movie.
She recalled: "Meeting Sofia Vergara for the first time is exactly what you'd expect. I met her in this hotel and I was waiting for her, and she came in and literally went into slow motion and her hair blew back like this.
"And every man in the entire hotel was like [stunned] and like one man passed out, and another man dropped all his bags and everyone was like, 'Is there anything I can do for you?' and I was like, 'Oh my God, this woman is a movie star.' And if I can't be her, I want to stand next to her. In a movie."
Though the two actresses got along well during shooting the movie, Reese admits she and her 42-year-old Colombian co-star often struggled to understand one another.
She told talk show host Conan O'Brien: "Sometimes she's hard to understand. But that's kind of funny. But she says she can't understand me. I play this real country Texan girl, and I talk really fast like that, and she was like, 'I have no idea what you're saying, so you're gonna need to pronunciate.' "
